We are seeking a passionate Associate Software Engineer to join our Technology Integrations team to help build the next generation of Technology Platforms and integrations for Marriott International. The candidate will work with our Senior Software Engineers to design and build innovative solutions in support of our new growth projects and integrations. The candidate should be able to collaborate extensively with other Engineers, writing and debugging code. Troubleshoot software issues. Provide on-call support as needed.

Candidate will work across multiple products & engineering teams to deliver incremental value against Technology roadmap. Perform research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of applications to meet current and future user requirements. Help develop proof-of-concept implementations to help evaluate cutting-edge technology to drive and meet Marriott business & technology objectives. Candidate must have the ability to communicate upward to superiors and laterally to other departments.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Experience in developing software for 2+ years

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification

Preferred:

  • Technology certifications (Cloud, Generative AI, DevOps etc.)

  • Working knowledge in API, Microservices, Webservices, Rest APIs, Cloud native technologies and Application Development involving Java, React, Python, Springboot, databases etc.

  • Capable of performing requirement analysis and high-level solution design, resource-based and API specification development.

  • Experience working in an agile development environment.

  • Identifies opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.

Delivering Technology

  • Performs more complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects.

  • Work with SSE to provide consultation for routine and complex systems development

  • Coordinates with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activities

IT Governance

  • Follows all defined IT standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed

  • Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk

  • Follows the defined project management standards and processes

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $66,560.00 to $134,991.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $63,150.00 to $122,722.00 annually.

Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $76,410.00 to $134,991.00 annually.

New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $63,150.00 to $134,991.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $67,724.80 to $134,991.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
