RESPONSIBILITIES:
Typical Day in the Role:
  • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to seek a talented and experienced Data Analyst to join our team and help drive data-driven decision-making by creating Power BI reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, business intelligence tools, and automation platforms.
  • Key Projects: This role will contribute to:
  1. Creating at least 7 PowerBI reports from scratch and then documenting the back end of how those came to be and training the team on how to utilize and use the reports
  2. Automating emails based on a report of what the emails are doing (PowerAutomate for things like budget, etc.)
  • Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role will consist of:
  1. Design and develop 7 Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize key metrics and KPIs
  2. Work with the team in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
  3. Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
  4. Test programs or reports, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
  5. Design reports that identify trends, patterns, and correlations to help drive business decision-making
  6. Implement automation processes using Power Automate to streamline report generation and distribution
  7. Document report structures, data sources, and automation workflows and training materials and sessions for the client's team

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Candidate Requirements:
  • Years of Experience Required: 5-7 years applicable experience required in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles
  • Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
  • Disqualifiers: N/A
  • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain:
  1. Experience with Power Bi, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, Excel
  2. Knowledge of the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills
  4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  5. Demonstrated history of success
  6. Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
  7. Proficiency in Power BI for report development and visualization
  8. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on Quality of Work
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
  • 5-7 years applicable experience required in PowerBI and PowerAutomate
  • 2-3 Years of experience in the data analysis and data visualization. Easy to use/easy to manipulate reports (designed well)
  • Knowledge of the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
