Job SummaryThe Associate Vice President, Riverview Health Physicians provides the strategic direction and operational implementation for all employed provider offices. The AVP will identify opportunities to improve, grow, and expand services. The Associate Vice President will work in conjunction with the Chief Ambulatory Officer to recruit providers to the group and be the primary person responsible for provider contracting and contract renewal. Relationship management with providers will be a key to success in this role.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the strategic plan execution and overall operations of Riverview Health Physicians offices. Track and analyze KPI's for successful clinical and financial management. Maintain awareness of best practice trends in ambulatory practice industry and incorporate these into operational improvements. Maintain effective relationships with providers, staff and community stakeholders by communicating changes, addressing concerns, and making recommendations to improve customer service and the patient experience. Interview, hire, and effectively onboard new providers. Complete performance appraisals in a timely manner and follow through with achieving individual and team goals. Develop staff through performance coaching. Maintain confidential files and records.Maintain compliance with ACHC, government regulations and industry requirements and participate in regulatory body surveys as needed.Engage in Suburban Health Organization Practice Council as appropriate.Participate in the Riverview Health multidisciplinary leadership team meetings and initiatives.Attend and support the Riverview Health Physicians Leadership Council (RLC) as needed.Other duties as assigned.Education RequirementsMinimum: Bachelors in healthcare or business area. Preferred: Masters of Health Administration or Business Administration Other: Certification in Physician practice administration, Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives Experience RequirementsMinimum: Two (2) years of administrative and financial leadership in a physician group or acute healthcare setting. Experience must include working with a variety of medical specialists and multiple physician offices with responsibilities that include business development.Preferred: Five (5) or more years of administrative and financial responsibilities with business development experience. Clinical education and experience in the ambulatory setting is a plus.License/Certification RequirementsNone required
