What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Lead International Logistics Coordinator who will do more for Mohawk by supporting export and import activities for all of Flooring North America's business units.
This is high-volume transactional work that includes, reviewing and disseminating documents, data entry, processing freight invoices, landed cost entry, and scheduling container deliveries.
What you'll do:
* Identify external vendors for freight forwarding, suppliers, etc. that provide Mohawk with best-in-class service and quality while managing cost and inventory; Support onboarding and relationship management of external vendors, including contract negotiation
* Coordinate ocean, air and container delivery schedules through direct communication with carrier and drayage provider and warehouse and planning teams
* Monitor flow of shipping documents through coordination with banks, vendors, carriers, and delivery locations
* Audit freight and entry invoices and submit to AP Department after completion of landed cost entry
What you have:
* 5+ years of experience in international freight forwarding and beneficial cargo owner
What you're good at:
* Communicating and negotiating effectively with internal and external customers
* Working collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team, with strong personal organization, poise and professionalism
* Providing a strong attention to detail and accuracy to daily tasks, as well as special projects
* Exercising independent judgment and demonstrating solid time management and organizational skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules
