Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll-related issues, and supporting payroll reporting and analysis.

Payroll Analyst Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or related role, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel; experience with UKG payroll software = major plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve payroll issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Payroll Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner using payroll software.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll data to general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and analysis, including preparing payroll reports and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.
