Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor accounts, and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Match purchase orders with invoices and verify accuracy.

Code invoices with correct general ledger codes.

Review vendor statements and reconcile discrepancies.

Correspond with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.

Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks and wire transfers.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.

Assist with month-end closing processes and accruals.

Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management as needed.

Stay updated on changes to accounts payable regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
