Responsibilities:
This position will act as a liaison between The New York Blood Center and its customers. Role  is responsible for all activities in account receivable relating to collections. Duties include, contacting AR customers to resolve overdue bills and collecting payments. Other duties may include backing up other AR team members in absentia; ad hoc projects.

Run AR reports, including but not limited to, Aging Report, distribute when necessary to customers and internal departments.

Contact routinely and frequently AR customers via email and phone regarding outstanding AR bills.

Perform Account Reconciliations as needed.

Adjust customer accounts as required to accurately reflect invoice balances.

Contact customers about short payment or payments in question.

Enter notes of contact and customer responses into system.

Prioritize accounts in accordance to balance due/days past due.

Escalate accounts that are not responding to management.

Respond to customer inquiries professionally and timely.

Prepare various reports as asked.

Process Credit Card Payments

Attend meetings, calls, as required.

Make recommendations to improve business unit practices and processes.

Any related duties as assigned and ad hoc projects.

Support other AR staff as needed

Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree, Bachelor Preferred in Related Sciences

 

Related Experience: 5 years’ strong experience in A/R industrial collections and knowledgeable in all aspects of A/R functions.

 

 

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hiring rate is $25.14/hr to $33.45/hr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
