Overview:
A Business Development Analyst’s (BDA) is responsible for analyzing data, processes, and systems to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions. They will work closely with the Regional Sales Managers to understand business needs and requirements of the customer, and then use their expertise to develop strategies, gather and analyze data, and create reports to help decision makers make informed choices. Business analysts also act as a liaison between internal departments and business users to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively. They must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of business processes and technologies.

Responsibilities:
Duties include (not limited to):

Work in conjunction with Regional Sales Manager (RSM) on the following:

Regular and constant communication relative to market competitive situations.

Review daily WIN reports, CRM, Phocas and give feedback as needed.

Assist and suggest sales and conversion goals and objectives.

Sales Responsibilities

Review sales reports and identify sales opportunities and dealer down initiatives for the region.

Work with RSM on responding to “in need of help” from WIN reports through quick resolution.

Consult with RSM to develop marketing strategies for assigned region.

Communicate with RSM on inventory and customer service needs.

Assist RSM with month & year-end sales summary reports for region and key accounts.

Assist with follow-up on large job quotes.

Work with vendors for deviated programs and follow up with capturing TPE.

Follow up: analyze and discuss set goals and expectations set for TM’s on programs.Rebates, corporate and contract price programs, freight deviations, restocks, and marketing incentives.

Aid in route evaluation and inventory needs and communicate findings with internal departments and personnel.

Assist RSM on region budget process.

Attend Regional Sales Meetings

Travel seasonally to meet with key customers within assigned region.

Communication of Market/Industry conditions and developments.

 

Qualifications:
A Business Development Analyst will possess and/or demonstrate:

Strong people skills needed for developing and sustaining internal, vendor, and customer relationships that would result in advanced sales of our key products.

Important to be organized and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

Individual must be energetic, motivated self-starter, and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Constantly demonstrate a positive attitude through cooperation and teamwork.

Important to possess the ability to be coached, trained and mentored by others.

Solid listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Above average math skills.

Above average keyboarding and software skills.

Ability to lead and present at meetings as needed.

The ability to process and progress protocols in:Enterprise PD Maintenance

EXCEL Spreadsheets

Display professional behavior to all internal and external contacts in conjunction with policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.

Flexible and critical time management:Ability to dedicate additional hours to support business needs and travel as needed.

 

Reports to: Business Development Analyst Manager

 

Working Demands / Requirements:

Ability to sit for long periods of time.

General working knowledge of residential construction.
