Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Digital Experience to join our global team. This newly created role will focus on driving leads and enhancing the digital presence of our small business, private client, and personal lines websites. The successful candidate will have previous experience and a hands-on approach to building and growing B2C/small business/commerce sites globally, with a strong emphasis on multilingual capabilities and experience within insurance industry a plus.

 

You will report into the VP, Global Digital Experience. The Digital Experience team is a global team of Content (Strategy and Writers), SEO/SEM, Marketing and UX Research and Design professionals. As part of our Corporate Digital Marketing team, you will work with a global team that supports Gallagher’s public-facing websites across the Gallagher family of brands.

Responsibilities:
Lead the development of our global digital presence for small business, private client, and personal lines websites and work within our agile framework to define user stories for UX Research, Design, and IT.

Establish KPIs for growth within each site and region.

Collaborate with marketing and sales leaders to develop content strategies, taxonomies, and create engaging content that drives user engagement and generates marketing qualified leads across regions.

Lead and support digital M&A transitions for acquisitions, working closely with marketing and business stakeholders.

Handle multiple work streams and balance priorities with global stakeholders.

 

Initiate and plan content-related research and briefs, including interviewing stakeholders and obtaining approval for optimized content.

Use Figma to create content drafts to share with stakeholder review.

Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain a digital editorial style guide for small business, private client and personal lines.

 

Establish and collaborate on processes and job aids for marketing and digital teams to ensure efficient page layout and flow.

Stay informed of competitors and identify opportunities based on competitor analysis.

Support day-to-day requests from stakeholders and provide recommendations for promoting various forms of content and ensure content, styles and components are identified before implementation.

 Collaborate closely with the global web team, Design, SEO, UX Research, and Marketing leads on various projects.

Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required.

Highly Preferred: 

Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of professional experience within Insurance and Risk Management a plus.

Demonstrated previous experience with B2C/small business/commerce.

A digital-first mindset with demonstrated experience in using tools (Google Analytics, SEO data) for content strategy, architecture and identifying opportunities for improvement.

- Strong hands-on experience in creating content, site architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Extensive knowledge of SEO/SEM/ORM, Design, Marketing, and UX Research.

Experience working with IT development partners and web development teams.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple work streams and balance priorities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders.

Ability to work within an agile framework and define user stories for various teams.

Familiarity with digital M&A transitions and experience in handling acquisitions.

Shown ability to stay informed of industry trends and competitor analysis.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
