Role Purpose:
The Global Finance Operations Record to Report group is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Director, Center of Excellence - Account Reconciliations. This highly visible role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, continuous improvement of best practices, methodologies, and driving the new account reconciliations standards via an enterprise-wide account reconciliations evaluations program. The Director will also be a key participant in the NBCU Blackline Hyper-automation and Account Reconciliations standardization project. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership and communications skills, and a passion for driving excellence in our operations.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development: Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for the Account Recons Quality Assurance Center of Excellence team, aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Evaluations Program Development: Develop evaluation methodology to support the newly created Global Account Reconciliations Quality Assurance Program, such as evaluation scoping, risk assessment, evaluation method and cycle, documentation, reporting and follow-up.
Evaluation Execution: Perform evaluation, include process walk thru with business stakeholders, understanding the controls around the process, review documents and records, analyzing the data to assess compliance and control effectiveness.
Governance and Oversight: Establish governance structures and processes to oversee the implementation of best practices, standards, and methodologies across business units and functions. A highly visible role with exposure to Comcast and NBCU Global Controller.
Knowledge Management: Lead efforts to capture, document, and disseminate best practices, lesson learned, and knowledge assets to facilitate organizational learning and continuous improvement.
Training and Development: Develop and deliver enterprise-wide account reconciliations training programs, providing guidance and support to the company on best practices and standards.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness and impact of the Quality Assurance Program and regularly report on progress to senior management.
Change Management: Drive change management efforts to promote adoption of best practices and standards, overcome resistance to change, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units’ leaders, collaborate to improve the current account reconciliations process and standards
Transformation Initiative: Collaborate with Global Process Owner to support the NBCU Blackline Hyper-automation and Account Reconciliations standardization project.
Team Management: Manage staff, develop them into mature accounting professionals. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
