Summary

The Field Market Access Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing the regional/account market access strategy in Iberia for current and future medicinal products of Incyte in his/her areas of responsibility under the supervision of the Iberia Market Access Director and in alignment with the EU VAP strategy.

There is a growing need for new approaches in Market Access to ensure continued access of patients to our innovative medicines. The Field Market Access Manager is therefore encouraged to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop new concepts of economic value and access routes to fully unlock the value of Incyte products, within compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Execute Regional/account access monitoring

·         Provide regular update on all the market access advances/news in regions/accounts.

·         Market research and provide regular updates on the competitors’ landscape for INCYTE’s core disease areas.

 

Execute Stakeholder engagement

·         Identify and prioritize key stakeholders.

·         Support strategic access planning for regional/account access.

·         Engage as appropriate with local payers and local health authorities.

·         Partner with the country Market Access Director and other members of the Spanish team to define the national/regional/account negotiation strategy in line with regional and corporate negotiation practice and guidelines.

 

Achieve Market Access Excellence

·         Develop regional/account HTA/Market access submissions/renewals that are aligned with MA strategy and in coordination with medical affairs.

 

Generate Evidence (if appropriate)

·         Identify potential RWE opportunities aligned with company strategy and in coordination with medical affairs.

·         Deliver solid and relevant Health Economics (HE) value arguments using adequate tools including budget impact and cost-effectiveness models, for inline and pipeline products.

·         Plan and execute local evidence generation e.g. RWE aligned with medical affairs.

 

Work collaboratively with the Brand, in-field team and Iberia Market Access team

·         Develop and execute regional/account market access plan aligned with product strategy and in coordination with KAMs and MSLs, within compliance.

·         Provide inputs into the development and support of the brand value concept and contribute to develop the appropriate tools for the delivery of the brand value messages to payers, clinicians and pharmacists and other stakeholders.

·         Provide input into the Iberia market access strategy and tactics and liaise internally with Iberia market access functions as necessary.

·         Update regularly Iberia MA dashboard.

 

Compliance and integrity

·         Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics.

·         Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines.

 

Ideal Requirements

·         Degree in economics or sciences

·         At least 5-year experience in the regional market access in the hospital market and preferable in the areas of oncology, hematology, or other complex treatments.

·         Successful experience in the launch of new products.

·         Preferably, prior experience in achieving positive HTA outcomes and/or experience in direct negotiation with local health authorities, hospital administrators and health care insurance companies.

·         Understanding of negotiation principles

·         Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the role

·         In-depth understanding of payers and their perspective in the local market as well as trends in Market Access.

·         Have strong influencing/negotiation skills and able to work at peer-level with experienced technical and commercial experts in other departments.

·         Have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex or technical content in a convincing way to non-technical audiences.

·         Display English skills (reading and oral understanding).

·         Ability to deal with complexity.

·         Result oriented.

·         Planning and monitoring

·         Internal and external networking

·         Ability to proactively face and solve potential or actual problems.

·         Co-operation and teamwork.

·         Fluent Spanish (native language).
