Overview:
Successful candidates for this position will have experience acting as the single point of contact to business leaders for all matters relating to Human Resources. Experience in a consultative organization driven to achieve organic and inorganic growth goals will be a plus. A strategic approach and the ability to lead with confidence will be critical. Familiarity with the Merger and Acquisition process, including integration of acquired organizations will be beneficial.

Key Relationships

Reports to Vice President, Human Resources, Gallagher Global Brokerage

Primary Human Resources Partner to Regional President Northeast, Gallagher Global Brokerage

Area Presidents, Gallagher Global Brokerage Northeast Region

Human Resources Center of Excellence (COE) Teams, including Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition

Responsibilities:
Work closely with Regional Leadership and People Managers to identify opportunities for improvement and gaps in compliance

Propose, communicate and implement change as required

Hold accountability for Human Resources operational issues in the Northeast by partnering with business leaders to address:Employee Relations: guiding communications, measuring outcomes

Performance Management: driving improvement and monitoring progress

Disciplinary Action: strong conflict resolution skills while remaining objective in order to achieve the best outcome for the employee and the Region; with the ability to conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations

Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day engagement of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

Foster professional growth of direct reports to facilitate career development and retention of strong Human Resources talent

Deliver day-to-day performance management guidance to People Managers to encourage workplace vitality through strong employee morale, productivity and employee retention

As a member of the Regional Leadership Team, and as a stakeholder of the Region’s success, facilitate strategic planning related to:Continuous evaluation of human capital risk: succession planning, employee performance, review of key opportunities and threats

Partnership with the Human Resources Center of Excellence to include Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development

Merger and Acquisition activity: evaluation of opportunity, diligence, integration

Qualifications:
Required:  Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience

Preferred: 

Master's degree

Superior project management skills

Able and willing to travel approximately 30% of the time

 

Ideal Experience:

Progressive experience in Human Resources leadership within a multi-region/division organization

Sector knowledge in insurance brokerage, financial services, or consulting is desired

Excellent communication skills shown through clear, structured, and concise written and verbal presentation

Knowledge of process design, effective utilization of resources, and capable of leveraging information from other functional resources
