OverviewThe Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex electrical scopes on large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects. This role oversees all aspects of project performance including schedule, budget, quality, safety, subcontractor coordination, and client satisfaction.Working closely with field leadership, general contractors, owners, and internal estimating teams, the Senior Electrical PM ensures electrical systems are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the demanding requirements of data center environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & ExecutionManage electrical scopes for ground-up and retrofit data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost controlsOversee procurement of major electrical equipment including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, bus duct, and distribution gearLead project teams including project engineers, assistant PMs, superintendents, and foremenClient & Trade Partner CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, and design teams on electrical scopeCoordinate closely with mechanical, controls, and commissioning teams to support integrated deliveryManage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project milestones and quality standardsLead project meetings, progress reviews, and executive updatesFinancial & Risk ManagementMaintain responsibility for project financial performance, including forecasting, change management, and margin protectionReview and negotiate change orders, subcontract agreements, and purchase ordersIdentify and mitigate project risks related to schedule acceleration, long-lead equipment, and system complexityQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnforce strict adherence to safety policies, QA/QC standards, and project specificationsEnsure compliance with NEC, local codes, and data center-specific standardsSupport commissioning activities including testing, energization, and turnover documentationQualifications8+ years of experience in electrical project management within commercial or industrial constructionProven experience delivering data center or mission-critical electrical projectsStrong understanding of power distribution systems, critical infrastructure, and electrical commissioningExperience working for an electrical contractor (not solely GC or owner-side)Proficiency with project management software and scheduling toolsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred ExperienceLarge-scale data center, hyperscale, or colocation projectsExperience managing fast-track or phased construction schedulesBackground working in the Southeast market, particularly AtlantaWhy JoinConsistent pipeline of data center projects in a high-growth marketOpportunity to lead technically complex, high-profile electrical scopesStrong compensation package with bonus potential and benefitsLong-term growth opportunities within a specialized electrical contractor
