Overview The Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex electrical scopes on large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects. This role oversees all aspects of project performance including schedule, budget, quality, safety, subcontractor coordination, and client satisfaction.

Working closely with field leadership, general contractors, owners, and internal estimating teams, the Senior Electrical PM ensures electrical systems are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the demanding requirements of data center environments.

Project Management & Execution
Manage electrical scopes for ground-up and retrofit data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost controls
Oversee procurement of major electrical equipment including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, bus duct, and distribution gear
Lead project teams including project engineers, assistant PMs, superintendents, and foremen

Client & Trade Partner Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, and design teams on electrical scope
Coordinate closely with mechanical, controls, and commissioning teams to support integrated delivery
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project milestones and quality standards
Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and executive updates

Financial & Risk Management
Maintain responsibility for project financial performance, including forecasting, change management, and margin protection
Identify and mitigate project risks related to schedule acceleration, long-lead equipment, and system complexity

Quality, Safety & Compliance
Enforce strict adherence to safety policies, QA/QC standards, and project specifications
Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and data center-specific standards
Support commissioning activities including testing, energization, and turnover documentation

8+ years of experience in electrical project management within commercial or industrial construction
~ Proven experience delivering data center or mission-critical electrical projects
~ Strong understanding of power distribution systems, critical infrastructure, and electrical commissioning
~ Experience working for an electrical contractor (not solely GC or owner-side)
~ Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools
~ Large-scale data center, hyperscale, or colocation projects
Experience managing fast-track or phased construction schedules
Consistent pipeline of data center projects in a high-growth market
