Project Electric Consulting LLC helps transmission owners execute complex electric substation and transmission line projects by providing project management and engineering support.

Role Overview:

We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of high-voltage transmission projects. You'll assist with project coordination, schedule tracking, stakeholder communication, and budget monitoring under the guidance of senior project staff. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Project and Program Management while contributing to critical electric transmission projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate with Owner's project teams, EPCs, consultants, and contractors to assist in project delivery.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Assist in management of scoping, estimating, scheduling, siting/routing, land acquisition, engineering, environmental permitting, contract management, construction, and closeout.
  • Attend, track, and help drive follow-up actions associated with engineering, construction, project coordination, and project status meetings.
  • Support budget monitoring, reporting, and risk management activities.
  • Manage documentation, project records, and stakeholder communications.
  • Contribute to maintaining safety and quality standards across projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • 1–3 years of project, engineering, or engineering support experience in transmission or related infrastructure.
  • Equivalent experience of 5–10 years in a technical assistance role in a related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and reporting.
  • Remote work capability.
  • Ability to interpret technical design plans effectively.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
