Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Westborough, Massachusetts. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities: - Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. - Perform account coding and verify invoice details for proper documentation. - Execute ACH payments and manage check runs efficiently. - Collaborate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or payment issues. - Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions. - Assist with reconciling accounts and ensuring timely payment schedules. - Support special projects as assigned, contributing to process improvements. - Communicate effectively with internal departments to address invoice-related queries. - Ensure adherence to financial controls and company policies. Requirements - Strong experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment methods. - Proficiency in handling ACH transactions and managing check runs. - Familiarity with account coding and maintaining accurate financial records. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment. - Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams. - Knowledge of accounting software and systems is preferred. - Prior experience in a construction or contractor industry is a plus.
