Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) (Bilingual)

Overview:

A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a highly trained professional responsible for assessing, developing, and supervising behavior intervention plans for individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). BCBAs use the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to implement evidence-based interventions that improve socially significant behaviors and enhance the overall quality of life for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), to identify behavioral challenges and skill deficits.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment data, client needs, and ABA principles.
  • Supervise and provide clinical oversight to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other support staff, ensuring the effective implementation of intervention plans.
  • Monitor client progress by analyzing data and making informed, data-driven decisions to adjust intervention strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to behavior management and skill development.
  • Provide training and education to parents and caregivers to promote skill generalization and ensure consistency in intervention strategies across different settings.
  • Ensure that all treatment plans comply with ethical guidelines and best practices established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports in compliance with organizational policies and confidentiality standards, such as HIPAA.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions and performance reviews for staff, providing feedback and guidance to enhance clinical practices.
  • Stay current with the latest research and developments in ABA and behavioral therapy by engaging in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual- Fluent in English, with additional fluency in one or more languages such as Haitian Creole, Spanish, or Portuguese preferred.
  • Master's degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education or related field.
  • Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Experience in developing and implementing ABA-based intervention plans, particularly for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills to manage caseloads, supervise staff, and ensure timely reporting.
  • Familiarity with legal and ethical guidelines related to behavior analysis, including the BACB Code of Ethics.

Working Conditions:

  • Various settings: homes, schools, clinics, community environments.
  • May involve travel, flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.

Salary:

Starting at $75 an hour, based on experience and location.
