Job Summary

We're seeking an analytically minded Associate for our Value Creation Team to work closely with our portfolio companies in translating strategic vision into actionable steps through the development and deployment of acceleration vectors (AVs) - initiatives designed to drive transformative growth and value creation. This hands-on role combines strategic insight with operational execution and requires frequent engagement with Ethos Partners, the Investment Team, and portfolio leadership across a diverse set of companies.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, values progress over perfection and excels in fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. This individual will work closely with portfolio teams through the full lifecycle of acceleration work - from opportunity identification and prioritization through execution, tracking, and reporting. They will also help champion the intelligent application of technology, data analytics, and emerging tools such as AI to support portfolio company initiatives.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to gain broad exposure across our portfolio while building expertise in private equity value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Engagement

  • Provide
consultative, hands-on guidance to portfolio companies — acting as both coach and challenger to sharpen strategies, maintain focus, and accelerate outcomes.
  • Translate high-level strategic initiatives into measurable, actionable operational plans tailored to each company's context.
  • Partner closely with the Investment Team to sustain momentum across key initiatives.

Analysis & Research

  • Assist
    portfolio
companies in systematically identifying, prioritizing, developing, deploying, and measuring acceleration vectors, ensuring consistent and effective application of best practices.
  • Lead in-depth research and analysis to support acceleration vector (AV) development, prioritization, and justification across portfolio companies.
  • Build financial models, business cases, and impact assessments that quantify value creation opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry benchmarks to inform strategic recommendations.

Communication & Presentation

  • Track, analyze, and report on AV progress and outcomes, providing actionable insights that inform decision-making and fuel improvements.
  • Develop polished presentations and materials for portfolio company leadership teams.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and confidently to C-suite executives
  • Translate technical analysis into compelling business narratives that inspire action.

Collaboration & Culture

  • Partner with the broader Value Creation Team on AV workshops, strategic planning sessions, and portfolio reviews.
  • Work independently across multiple portfolio companies, managing complex workstreams and stakeholder relationships.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the AV Methodology through process refinement and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote
a collaborative, outcome-oriented culture with a strong bias for action and shared accountability.
  • Foster
innovation, agility, and thoughtful risk-taking while maintaining a disciplined focus on execution.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in management consulting or corporate strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree required; analytical field (finance, economics, engineering) preferred; MBA a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to senior leadership with confidence and polish.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, and create alignment at all levels.
  • Proven ability to lead workstreams independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Working knowledge of private equity, a plus.

Personal Attributes

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, yet able to see the bigger strategic picture.
  • Able to balance a detail-oriented approach with a strategic, big-picture perspective.
  • Pragmatic, resourceful, and focused on driving tangible results with ownership of deliverables.
  • Energized by fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Passionate about innovation, with a willingness to leverage new tools and technologies.
  • Emotionally intelligent, humble, and team oriented.
  • A clear, compelling communicator
who brings clarity, alignment, and energy to every interaction.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary and bonus commensurate with experience
  • Competitive benefits package
