Executive Training Partner – Business Development
Position Summary:
As the Executive Training Partner for Amplity's Business Development function, you will work collaboratively with business development, sales leaders and professionals to ensure all Amplity colleagues responsible for driving new business are onboard, trained and continuously upskilled and coached to meet and exceed revenue growth targets. This is a remote opportunity with residence in Eastern or Central time zones preferred.
The Executive Training Partner, Business Development will have the opportunity to develop, lead, and manage all aspects of the onboarding and training experience for Amplity business development colleagues. With a passion for developing others and improving the lives of patients, the Training Partner will have a direct impact on Amplity's ability to create powerful, patient-first outsourced partnerships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Training Programs: Design and deliver effective onboarding, training, and development programs tailored for Amplity's senior-level business development colleagues, with a focus on consultative sales techniques and executive engagement.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Partner closely with business line leaders and executives to understand team needs and align training strategies with Amplity's organizational and revenue growth goals.
- Facilitate Advanced Training Activities: Lead interactive sessions such as capabilities presentations, role-playing exercises, and advanced skill development workshops focused on probing, closing, negotiating, and other critical sales techniques.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments: Evaluate current and future learning gaps, propose solutions, and deliver customized training programs to bridge these gaps and optimize performance.
- Provide Coaching and Feedback: Deliver ongoing coaching and actionable feedback to ensure business development leaders effectively apply new skills, resulting in measurable improvements in performance.
- Ensure Compliance and Timeliness: Oversee adherence to training materials and timely completion of all required learning programs.
- Evaluate Training Impact: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback collection and performance analysis, making necessary adjustments to continuously improve results.
- Manage Training Resources: Optimize training budgets and resources to deliver impactful learning experiences efficiently.
- Partner with External Vendors: Collaborate with third-party vendors as needed to enhance training content and methodologies.
- Stay Industry-Informed: Maintain expertise in pharmaceutical and biotech industry trends, as well as advancements in training and development technologies, to ensure programs remain cutting-edge.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; preferred fields include Business, Communications, Education, Media, or Life Sciences.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in consultative sales and business development training, particularly for executive-level professionals selling complex, high-value solutions.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and commercialization processes.
- Expertise long sales cycle techniques and strategies for engaging key decision-makers in large-budget and complex multi-step negotiations.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to assess and develop both hard and soft skills needed for success in business development roles.
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Proven track record of success in similar role

- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project; Salesforce; Adobe Acrobat.
