Epidemiology Outreach Specialist (Public Health Project)
Pay:

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, standard business hours, Hybrid/3 days in office

Focus People is partnering with a
statewide public health program
on an initiative supporting maternal and infant health. The
Epidemiology Outreach Specialist
will develop educational materials, coordinate outreach, and build partnerships with community and healthcare organizations across Georgia. This role supports efforts to reduce congenital and perinatal infections and other emerging public health threats.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with epidemiologists and subject matter experts to create reports, fact sheets, webinars, and presentations.
  • Identify and engage community organizations, healthcare associations, and professional groups for outreach activities.
  • Analyze data to identify outreach needs and gaps in community coverage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, advocacy partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Disseminate educational materials about congenital and perinatal infections such as syphilis and hepatitis C.
  • Work with communications teams to ensure materials meet established guidelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Community Health, or related field.
  • Experience with data analysis, outreach, or public health project coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage deliverables within grant- or contract-funded projects.
  • Preferred: Master of Public Health (MPH) and prior experience in surveillance or quantitative public health work.

Tools & Environment

  • Microsoft Office 365, Canva, and other outreach and design platforms.
  • Hybrid work environment; collaboration with multidisciplinary public health teams.
