Salary Range: $ $25.30 Hourly

ABOUT OUR HOTEL
- 4th largest hotel in Seattle with 557 rooms, 28,000 sq. ft of meeting space

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department, delivering exemplary customer service to our internal and external customers in a busy, fast-paced environment. Our staff take care of our guests, and Human Resources takes care of the staff. This position reports to the Human Resources Director, and the primary responsibilities listed below, include and are not limited to the following:
- Welcome and acknowledge each and every internal and external customer with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using their name when possible.
Anticipate our internal customers' needs, asking questions to understand, and meeting or exceeding their expectations whenever possible
Organize, label, and maintain filing
- Assist with recruiting in the absence of the HR manager such as scheduling, preparing interview materials, updating job postings, performing background and reference checks and work authorization verification
- Administer new hire paperwork for each new hire completed; maintain new hire paperwork packets
- Minor benefit administration
- Conduct New Hire Orientations; prepare and maintain New Hire Packets
- Assist with planning and scheduling employee events, participate in employee committees and assist with recognition programs
- Administer the Employee(s) of Quarter and Year – order plaques, etc.
- Conduct Food &Beverage permit audits
- Deliver and pick up mail
- Order/process/maintain Orca Passes, and act as the Commute Trip Reduction liaison, responsible for annual survey
- Answer telephones using appropriate phone etiquette
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Professional demeanor
- Well-versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and other basic computer applications and programs – aptitude and willingness to learn new programs independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Patience and tact, particularly during fast-paced or challenging situations
- Ability to be flexible and switch course for employee / organizational / business needs
- Must be dependable and able to maintain confidentiality
- Detail oriented, self-motivated.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree or 2 years of office experience
- Computer skills and with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment
