Class Summary
Job Description
This position leads a team responsible for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance procedures and standard job plan activities by scoping field work, researching business processes, and coordinating resources to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a supervisory position in industrial equipment maintenance, knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices for water or wastewater treatment plant equipment, the completion of a training program or apprenticeship in the mechanical or electrical trades, or a related field, a basic understanding electrical safety in an industrial plant, and experience in planning and scheduling work within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace.

Grade
The grade for this position is B32(3). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.; AND
  • Six years of related work experience, including two years of supervisory experience; OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.

  • Valid Driver's License from state of residency
