Job Summary

As a Construction Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our construction team to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently. You will assist with various tasks on-site, from coordinating materials to maintaining communication among team members. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help us meet deadlines and exceed expectations in delivering high-quality construction projects.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of construction sites, ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate timely deliveries and project progress.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members regarding project updates, schedules, and any issues that arise.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and managing project documentation to keep everything organized.
  • Support the project manager with calendar management, scheduling meetings, and tracking project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations by maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from clients or stakeholders as needed.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace for documentation and communication.
  • Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and proofreading.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in office management or administrative roles within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks for basic bookkeeping tasks related to project expenses.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to enhance communication with diverse teams and clients.
  • Previous experience as a dental or medical receptionist is beneficial for understanding client interactions.
