Systems Quality Assurance Engineer

The
Systems Quality Assurance Engineer
is expected to work as part of cross functional project teams to ensure high quality products are released. The candidate must have experience writing and executing manual test plans/test cases, documenting defects and producing project status reports.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Perform manual and automated testing on communications applications.
• The candidate must have experience writing and executing manual test plans/test cases, documenting defects, and producing project status reports.
• Needs to be detailed oriented, analytical and have strong verbal and documentation skills.
• Candidate will be responsible for executing full system test plans as well as Production level test plans on released products prior to shipment to customers.
• Must be comfortable interacting directly with Developers and Engineers. Work environment is fast paced and extremely dynamic.
• Candidate must be highly motivated and a self-starter. Needs to be able handle the work with minimal supervision.
• During testing candidate will be expected to think "outside of the box" to understand the various scenarios and configurations that customers use to ensure customer quality is maintained
• Test scripts should support the development teams capture logs and trigger various boundary or failure conditions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, and five years of related experience and/or training, additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience in writing, executing, and monitoring test suites using a variety of technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of testing fundamentals such as unit, smoke, performance, integration, and regression testing.
• Ability to write and maintain test procedures and test plans.
• Must be willing and able to travel 25-50%
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.

• Knowledge of wireless/networking protocol experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000
The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
