We're looking to for a rockstar
Vice President, Business Development.
You'll work directly for our General Counsel, who also leads our Strategy and Music functions, and partner across the company to identify and execute on both internal and external strategic initiatives. You'll be a high-impact player on your first day and have the opportunity to grow with our business.
Our Vice President, Business Development is responsible for leading both internal and external teams in: (1) driving and executing on the company's most innovative growth strategies; (2) identifying, negotiating, and building commercial strategic partnerships on an accelerated basis; (3) identifying and driving potential corporate acquisitions; and (4) ensuring efficient and effective financial analysis and modeling of strategic plans and opportunities. These responsibilities involve spearheading strategic operations across the company, including leading a small team and fostering cross-company collaboration; modeling, strategizing, and negotiating critical partnerships and other strategic transactions; and reporting successes, blockers, and challenges to executive management.
Your Day-to-day
Corporate Strategy
: Identify, analyze, and drive the company's most innovative strategic initiatives:
- Become an expert in the amusements industry, especially at it intersects with our operator network and technology and consumer trends, so that TouchTunes can continue to innovate and grow
- Identify areas of potential growth and innovation and work cross-collaboratively with the company and external advisors to make smart decisions and take smart risks
- Work with internal and external experts to gather information necessary to make decisions quickly
- Provide world-class modeling and analysis of opportunities and growth potential
- Lead execution of the company's strategic plans, including setting goals and accelerated timelines, and be responsible for timely, effective delivery
Business Development
: Build and lead the company's business development function:
- Identify and analyze potential strategic partnerships and how they might fuel the company's strategic goals
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential current and future partners
- Provide world-class modeling and analytics of potential business development partnerships
- Negotiate, in connection with legal counsel, commercial business development agreements and highlight any areas of concern in those relationships as the company grows
Corporate Development
: Identify potential corporate acquisition targets, in connection with the company's private equity ownership team:
- Work collaboratively with our PE team to identify and analyze potential acquisition targets
- Work with internal stakeholders and external advisors on potential acquisitions, including analysis, due diligence, accounting and tax concerns, legal compliance matters, negotiations, and closing
- Drive the company's integration efforts with respect to acquisitions, including ensuring compliance with residual acquisition matters and working collaboratively cross-company, especially with Finance and Human Resources, to create successful integration opportunities
Strategy Operations
: Help the company grow its strategy function, both by building a small team of strategy professionals and by collaborating with company leadership to grow the strategic opportunities of the business
- Be responsible for identifying, delivering, and executing on the company's strategic goals
- Build and maintain processes for potential opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions
- Build and maintain company documents, such as pitch decks, for use company wide
- Provide expert modeling and analytics services, particularly with respect to market analysis and growth opportunities
Your Profile
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advance degree in business, law, or another relevant field preferred
- At least 10 years' proven experience in strategic, development, or M&A roles, either as a businessperson or a lawyer
- At least 10 years' financial modeling experience in strategic initiatives, with deep experience with respect to strategic initiatives in consumer spaces
- At least 5 years proven experience driving negotiations and being accountable for their success
- At least 5 years leading internal and/or external teams in accomplishing strategic initiatives
- Deep knowledge of US technology and consumer markets; willingness to learn the US amusements industry and expand knowledge globally
- Strong business acumen with experience advising executive leadership and contributing to strategic decisions
- Demonstrated success in building and leading cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on results and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- An unrelenting desire to drive accelerated company growth
