Job Summary
The Vice President of Business Development and Market Presence will drive the growth of GDI Ainsworth's Integrated Facilities Services & Management (IFS&M) business across North America. This role blends hands-on business development with strategic marketing to expand client partnerships, enhance brand visibility, and refine our go-to-market strategy in complex, high-demand environments.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development (75%)

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships that drive new IFS&M opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to proposal development and mobilization.
  • Pursue business within advanced manufacturing, industrial, research, data center, and energy-intensive sectors.
  • Develop tailored proposals and RFI/RFP responses in collaboration with operations and corporate teams.
  • Cultivate relationships with industry consultants, influencers, and key decision-makers.
  • Provide market insights to refine growth strategies and solution offerings.

Market Presence and Industry Recognition (25%)

  • Strengthen GDI Ainsworth's visibility through industry associations, conferences, and publications.
  • Support the creation of thought-leadership content, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align messaging, success stories, and digital campaigns.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams across Canada and the U.S. to align pursuits with business objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of cross-business opportunities and impacts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA an asset).
  • 8–12 years of experience in business development or marketing within IFM, technical services, or B2B outsourcing.
  • Proven success securing multi-site, multi-service contracts with corporate or industrial clients.
  • Strong proposal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Established network within facilities management, real estate, or related industries.
