Why This Role Exists

Our clients run complex Active Directory environments while modernizing to Microsoft Entra ID. They need a consultant who can design secure hybrid identity architectures, automate identity operations, and act as the top-tier escalation point for critical issues while representing GCA as a trusted advisor. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction and effective collaboration with your colleagues.

What You'll Do

• Participate in client meetings to diagnose complex identity challenges and share expert guidance, ensuring your insights strongly inform design decisions made collaboratively with your colleagues
• Design and implement hybrid identity patterns (AD DS Entra ID) using Entra Connect Sync or Cloud Sync including scoping, attribute flows, and cutover plans
• Modify and troubleshoot Entra Connect Sync and Cloud Sync configurations for efficiency and reliability
• Harden and modernize Microsoft identity: Conditional Access, MFA or passwordless, PIM, Identity Protection risk policies
• Build automation for identity operations with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph; deliver reusable scripts and runbooks
• Troubleshoot complex issues across AD, Entra ID, DNS, federation, and sync anomalies; own resolution during major incidents
• Produce high-quality deliverables such as architecture diagrams, risk registers, and operational guides

Must-Have Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Active Directory fundamentals including DNS and Group Policy
• Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID administration including Conditional Access, PIM, lifecycle management, and governance
• Demonstrated success implementing and optimizing hybrid identity solutions using Entra Connect Sync or Cloud Sync including experience modifying and troubleshooting sync configurations
• Advanced PowerShell skills for secure scripting and automation of identity tasks including modules such as Az and MSGraph or Entra
• SC-300 certification (Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator)
• Ability to engage in client meetings to diagnose complex identity challenges, communicate clearly with client stakeholders, and contribute expert input to team-driven design decisions while solving technical problems independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with Exchange Online or Hybrid
• AZ-104 certification (Azure Administrator)

Pay: $105, $135,000.00 per year
