As we expand, we are seeking an experienced Insurance Prior Authorization Coordinator to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Submit insurance prior authorization requests for home health services in compliance with payer requirements.
- Work closely with physicians, medical staff, and insurance companies to secure approval for patient care services.
- Review patient charts and clinical documentation to ensure accurate and thorough prior authorization requests.
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and resolve any issues or delays in the approval process.
- Maintain accurate records of all prior authorization activities and document communications.
- Stay updated on insurance policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth and timely authorization process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance prior authorization, preferably in home health or a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of insurance payer systems, processes, and requirements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with home health documentation and medical terminology.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with prior authorization software is a plus.
