The Opportunity
As part of the America's leadership team, SANY is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Account Manager, Strategic Accounts Port. With the deep investment and backing of SANY Group, the Americas business expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth, is the appointment of a high-quality Account Manager, Strategic Accounts. This individual is responsible for understanding business systems, processes and efficiencies of both SANY and its customers within the Strategic Account channel. Relationships involve National, Regional, National Direct Sale Contractor accounts, as well as Regional Key Accounts. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator that can help identify problems immediately and directly within the correct departments for quick resolution. Individual must have strong analytical skills that can be utilized to identify trends and formulate solutions.
With current revenues just short of $1B, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market; the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase their market share. This role will require a leader who is forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and motivated to seize the opportunity to represent and grow a respected global brand in the Americas market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy for telehandlers and other port equipment (Empty & Loaded Container Handlers, Reach Stackers, and Forklift Trucks), focusing on maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various market segments (Port machinery, container handlers, construction industrial sectors).
- Negotiate and close large-scale deals with key clients while ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Account Management & Customer Relationship:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, strategic accounts, distributors, and dealers.
- Regularly engage with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions through telehandler and excavator products.
- Provide post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively to ensure long-term client retention.
Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions.
- Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams based on customer feedback and market needs.
- Stay up to date on product features and developments related to telehandlers and excavators.
Team Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns and promotional materials.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior management.
- Work with the service and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment, equipment delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Training & Development:
- Train and mentor other team members as required.
- Participate in industry-related events, trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance product knowledge and network within the industry.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
- Proven track record of 5+ years in sales management, preferably within the Port equipment industry, with a focus on telehandlers, port equipment, or similar machinery.
- Strong experience in account management, developing long-term customer relationships, and managing key accounts.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of telehandlers, wheel loaders and excavators, including features, benefits, and technical specifications.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Up to 75% of travel required.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary, an annual performance bonus, and other exceptional benefits.
