The R&D Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management: the direction, planning, coordination, implementation, execution, and delivery of SAS products and solutions while ensuring consistency with SAS' overall strategy, commitments, and goals.
We are looking for a team player to…
- Experience the full software development lifecycle from feature inception to delivery and maintenance from a project manager's perspective.
- Collaborate on a real-world program level project from project definition through to implementation.
- Build your agile skillset by assisting with process enhancements to address high priority business needs.
As an intern, you might:
- Work directly with development teams to plan and coordinate their work
- Partner with program and project managers in R&D to experience and better understand the project planning processes utilized at SAS, including Scrum and Kanban methods
- Work on projects in R&D to experience the planning and delivery cycle from project initiation to release
Required Qualifications
- You are an undergraduate student studying Communications, Engineering, Education, Psychology Computer Science, liberal arts, not graduating prior to December 2026.
- You're curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you'll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
- You're interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant's year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate's/bachelor's level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master's/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonuses.
