What You Will Be Doing

  • Inspire students to set and achieve personal learning goals, fostering their growth as self-directed learners.
  • Deliver targeted instruction in social-emotional skills and foundational literacy with the aid of Reading Specialists.
  • Create a classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and resilience through interactive, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Leverage and embrace AI-driven tools to enhance educational outcomes, preparing students for a future where technology complements traditional learning methods.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of educators and counselors to support each student's unique journey, tailoring your approach to their individual learning needs and styles.

Early Childhood Specialist Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of independent learning and life skills for Kindergarten - 2nd graders, setting young learners on a path to educational success and personal growth.

Basic Requirements

  • Be willing to work in person at our Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL or Austin, TX campus.
  • Hold a college degree in any field.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience working with children ages 4 - 8 years old in educational, afterschool, sports, or related settings.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to employ a growth mindset and high-performance coaching strategies effectively.
  • Be comfortable with and enthusiastic about using AI and other technologies in educational settings.
  • Be legally able to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements
These qualities will make your application stand out, but as long as you meet the above requirements, you should apply

  • A degree or certification in a field related to early learning (education, child development, reading intervention, etc.)
  • Certifications or advanced training in early childhood learning methodologies such as CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.
  • Experience as a K-2 teacher, reading coach, or literacy specialist with formal training or professional development experience in a reading & phonics frameworks.
  • Experience in settings that emphasize personalized learning paths and educational technology.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
