We seek a professional to act on Noise and Vibration area, focus on eVTOL aircraft external noise. The role focuses on developing and applying noise prediction methods and measuring process, integrating low-noise solutions into eVTOL aircraft, ensuring compliance with noise regulations.

Responsibilities And Assignments

  • Develop and use various noise prediction methods (analytical, semi-empirical, computational) to estimate eVTOL noise and identify product features needed to meet noise requirements.
  • Integrate low-noise solutions into eVTOL aircraft and propeller development, ensuring compliance with regulations and market needs while minimizing cost and weight.
  • Engage with regulatory authorities to define and demonstrate noise certification requirements, and create compliance documentation (reports, test plans, results).
  • Develop processes and tools for noise measurement during certification tests, analyze and interpret test data.
  • Ensure compliance with operational noise requirements, considering local regulations, and support ecosystem development by modeling noise for different flight paths.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on noise, advancing technical knowledge, processes, and tools for designing certifiable, competitive products, and provide guidance to the team.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, aeronautics, mechatronics, or electric).
  • Knowledge of aeronautics, in areas of interest related to aeroacoustics, such as: Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. Propeller/Rotor Aerodynamics. Propulsion.
  • Knowledge of aircraft external noise, including generation mechanisms and transmission paths, noise and vibration prediction and control methods
  • Experience with programing languages Matlab and Python.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of rotor integrated design and its impact on acoustic performance
  • Experience with aeronautic industry, especially with aircraft noise certification and operational requirements.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary product development and requirement management.
  • Experience with noise analysis and acoustic simulation tools, including computational aeroacoustics.
  • Continuously explore new options, and feel comfortable in changing situations
  • Effective and assertive communication.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
