North Carolina Market Manager — Brand Ambassador

Position Overview:
Social House Vodka is seeking an energetic, organized, and relationship-driven North Carolina Market Manager to lead field sales, brand activation, and trade execution in the Charlotte market and surrounding areas. This is a hybrid sales and marketing role that serves as the face of the brand locally — combining retail and on-premise sales, event execution, merchandising, and distributor coordination.
The ideal candidate is a craft spirit or local enthusiast with a strong sense of hustle, and previous experience in the alcohol beverage industry, preferably with exposure to distributor systems. This person must thrive in fast-paced environments, balance multiple priorities, and be as comfortable stocking shelves and setting displays as they are leading community events and tailgates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Sales & Distributor Coordination
- Serve as the primary local liaison to distributor teams in the North Carolina market.
- Attend sales meetings, field rides, and product presentations to ensure full distributor alignment.
- Track account performance, placements, and incentive execution.
- Maintain weekly communication with SHV and distributor leadership on wins, challenges, and market needs.
- Support format transitions and reinforce case display initiatives in target accounts.
2. Sampling Program Oversight
- Manage local third-party sampling team in collaboration with internal SHV promotions leadership and personally assist with in-store samplings and SHV "Menu Nights" as well.
- Ensure events are scheduled, staffed, and executed with professionalism and high energy.
- Provide training, performance feedback, and accountability to sampling personnel.
- Ensure correct brand messaging, product supply, and POS materials are present at each activation.
3. On- & Off-Premise Account Management
- Own relationships with key retail and on-premise accounts across the Charlotte metro area.
- Drive account re-engagement, especially for stores that require support or product resets.
- Execute placements, cocktail features, staff education, and consumer-facing promotions.
- Personally visit a pre-determined number of accounts per week to maintain brand presence and identify new opportunities.
4. Merchandising & POS Execution
- Install and maintain product displays, shelf facings, menus, table tents, and other branded assets.
- Capture and submit weekly merchandising recaps with photo documentation.
- Ensure SHV has strong, visible presence across both off- and on-premise channels.
5. Local Event Management & Brand Representation
- Represent SHV at all major events including tailgates, bar takeovers, festivals, alumni gatherings, and local fundraisers.
- Coordinate logistics including inventory, setup, staffing, and teardown.
- Serve as the face of the brand for university and community stakeholders, both behind the scenes and publicly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred;
- Experience in beverage alcohol, CPG sales, brand ambassadorship, or field marketing is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with or for a distributor is strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 30+ lbs., travel locally, and work evenings and weekends.
- Must be self-motivated, responsive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Compensation
- Base Salary plus commission and stock options
