PVHardware
is seeking a highly experienced and strategic
Chief Accounting Officer
(CAO) to lead our Accounting and Controlling functions and support our continued growth. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and supporting operational excellence in a dynamic and rapidly growing renewable energy sector.

You will partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to provide financial insights that drive decision-making in a complex business model that combines manufacturing, supply chain management, and large-scale infrastructure projects.

provides innovative solar tracking solutions for the global utility-scale solar market, including trackers, fixed structures and SCADA system. Yet, we are the third largest solar tracker supplier in the world and aiming to be the leader in the industry

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Leadership

  • Lead all accounting operations, including cost accounting for manufacturing, project accounting for EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) activities, tax compliance, and treasury.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Oversee revenue recognition for multi-element contracts (e.g., long-term tracker supply agreements) and ensure compliance with ASC 606.
  • Manage external audits and relationships with tax advisors, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Implement and monitor robust internal controls in line with SOX requirements.

Controlling & Business Partnering

  • Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across manufacturing, R&D, and project delivery business units.
  • Provide cost analysis and margin insights on tracker production, supply chain efficiencies, and project deployment.
  • Develop KPIs to monitor financial and operational performance (e.g., cost per MW, working capital turns, EBITDA margins).
  • Support strategic initiatives such as international expansion, supply chain optimization, and capital investment projects.

Leadership & Transformation

  • Build and mentor a high-performing global team covering Accounting and Controlling functions.
  • Lead ERP optimization and finance digitalization initiatives to support scalability (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite).
  • Act as a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, and Project Management teams.

Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters/MBA preferred).
  • Active CPA certification or CMA certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in manufacturing (ideally for capital equipment or energy-related sectors).
  • Experience in renewable energy, EPC contracts, or large infrastructure projects highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, supply chain financials, and international tax considerations.

Other Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and revenue recognition standards for long-term contracts.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
