What does the Credentialing Coordinator do ? (including but not limited to)
Ensures healthcare providers are properly credentialed and meet organizational standards by verifying qualifications, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Verify education, training, licensure, certifications, and professional affiliations of healthcare providers, ensuring they meet the standards and qualifications required by healthcare organizations.
  • Maintain/Update provider databases
  • Track license and certification expiration dates
  • Assist providers with hospital credentialing and recredentialing application/privilege approval process.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some physician credentialing and/or managed care support experience preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of medical office experience preferred.
