Job Title: Staff Accountant I
Location: Urbandale, IA (Hybrid - Onsite 6 days/month: Every Monday and every other Thursday)
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexible start between 8:00 - 9:00 AM)
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant I will provide accounting support in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, working closely with stakeholders across multiple business entities.

This role requires hands-on experience with MS Excel and direct client-facing interaction, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply fees and commission cash receipts across multiple entities.
  • Respond to inquiries from stakeholders across multiple business lines.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and improve process efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely receipt of application.

Required Qualifications

  • Intermediate Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Client-facing experience in accounting or financial operations.
  • Insurance industry background or exposure.
