Duties

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a positive first impression
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently using medical administrative support tools
  • Collect and update patient information accurately, including insurance details, medical history, and consent forms
  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing clear information or directing inquiries to appropriate staff members
  • Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and timely appointment management
  • Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations and clinic policies
  • Assist with billing processes, insurance verifications, and payment collections as needed
  • Support clinic operations by managing inventory of forms, supplies, and educational materials

Skills

  • Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff
  • Excellent office experience with proficiency in scheduling software and electronic health records systems
  • Exceptional communication skills—friendly, clear, professional—both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under pressure
  • Familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and support team collaboration
