North Star Mental Health Counseling Services ) is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Coordinator to to join our fun, dynamic group psychotherapy practice. Our office is located in Commack, NY but this position is a work-from-anywhere position if coming to the office is not your cup of tea (or you just don't live anywhere near Commack, NY).

Must have availability to work the following shifts:

Mondays 12pm - 6pm

Thursdays 12pm - 6m

Fridays 8am - 12pm

Saturdays: 2:30pm - 5pm

Sundays: 5:30pm - 8pm

We are looking for someone that wants to continue to grow and expand with us, as we have experienced explosive growth over the past five years. There is also opportunity to enhance your career development by learning the ins and outs of administrative processes within a busy mental health counseling practice, as well as opportunities to learn medical billing, payroll processes, bookkeeping, client care/intake coordination, etc.

Requirements:

Above all else, this role requires thick skin, strong work ethic, and being fully capable of multitasking and hustling.

Ideally have at least one year experience working in a health care practice, with mental health care being a bonus.

Knowledge of how insurance benefits/verification works; including deductibles, copays, co-insurance, etc. work.

Knowledge of HIPAA.

Have a private and quiet place to work remotely that has reliable high-speed internet, working computer/laptop, and smart phone.

Responsibilities:

· Manage intake calls (answer phone and email, schedule intake appointments with appropriate therapist, answer potential client questions)

· Check insurance benefits

· Take responsibility of intake metrics (tracking incoming calls, scheduled sessions, referral sources)

· Communicate with clinicians regarding scheduling

· Communicate with management regarding intake metrics and streamlining of intake processes

· Keep Electronic Health Records organized and manage intake paperwork collection

· Experience working in the Mental Health or Medical field

· Experience in Sales a bonus

Benefits and Pay:

· $24-$28/hr (depending on experience) with potential for raises after positive review, 401K, Health Insurance Benefits (if/when full time)
