Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and mechanical repair. This role requires a strong background in service technician experience, construction, and property maintenance. As a Senior HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Read and interpret schematics to facilitate effective repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with team members to design HVAC systems that meet client specifications.
  • Conduct field service visits to assess equipment performance and implement necessary repairs.
  • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Provide expertise in ammonia refrigeration and boiler maintenance.
  • Execute welding tasks as needed for equipment repair or installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during service calls.
  • Train junior technicians on best practices in HVAC maintenance and repair.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
  • Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, plumbing, appliance repair, and property maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
  • Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
  • Experience in construction is a plus; familiarity with HVAC design is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC operations is essential.
