Primary Services is actively recruiting for a
Telecom Construction & Services Procurement Specialist
to support a leading global client in its technology and telecom operations. This senior-level role will focus on researching, evaluating, and strategically managing the
Telecom category
. You will analyze contracts and scopes of work, identify gaps, optimize vendor relationships, and deliver cost savings while ensuring compliance with organizational standards. This is a high-visibility opportunity to leverage your procurement expertise within a large, dynamic enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for telecom and IT-related products and services.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of contracts, scopes of work, and spend data to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate potential vendors based on financial stability, service quality, compliance, and overall capabilities.
  • Lead vendor selection processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams to define criteria and drive decisions.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms on pricing, service levels, warranties, and schedules.
  • Ensure contracts are legally sound, comprehensive, and aligned with organizational policies.
  • Proactively identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, serving as the primary contact for performance reviews and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with vendors to assess service quality and foster collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal governance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of vendor contracts, agreements, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  • Significant experience
    in
    IT
    and
    telecom procurement
    , including strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom procurement processes
    , including hardware, software, cloud services, and professional services.
  • Proven ability to analyze contracts, scopes of work, and vendor performance to drive efficiencies.
  • Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and procurement best practices in telecom and IT categories.
