Permitting Specialist – Houston, TX (Hybrid)
US CITIZEN ONLY
Schedule:
Tues–Thurs in office, Mon & Fri remote (8am–5pm)
Travel:
Local only, about 3–5 trips per month (mileage reimbursed)
Rate: $27.14/hr
We're looking for a
Permitting Specialist
to support network deployment projects for a leading telecom infrastructure company. This role focuses on securing zoning and permitting approvals for
fiber and small cell builds
across the Houston area and remotely supporting other markets as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full permitting process — from reviewing drawings and submitting applications to tracking approvals and closing out permits.
- Coordinate with municipalities, utility providers, and internal engineering/construction teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Research, prepare, and submit entitlement documentation in compliance with local jurisdiction requirements.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on permit status, timelines, and potential issues.
- Represent the company in meetings with city planning, zoning, and public works departments when required.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in
telecom, municipal planning, or land use permitting
. - Background with
fiber or small cell permitting
strongly preferred. - Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable collaborating with internal teams and external agencies.
