About the Role

East Coast Coders builds full-service accounting and dispatching platforms for the fuel delivery and service industries, integrating directly with systems like QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.

We're looking for an Accounting and Bookkeeping Professional who also understands technical workflows, integrations, and data migration. This hybrid role blends traditional accounting with hands-on system support and client assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle bookkeeping and accounting tasks for small–medium fuel delivery and service companies.
  • Maintain accurate AR/AP/GL entries and reconcile accounts in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
  • Support accounting system integrations with our proprietary fuel delivery platform.
  • Perform data migrations (ETL) — moving customers, vendors, and transaction data between systems.
  • Troubleshoot accounting sync and journal posting issues.
  • Assist clients and CPAs with financial reporting, data integrity, and workflow optimization.
  • Collaborate with our development team to test updates and verify accounting accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage required).
  • Strong understanding of journal entries, chart of accounts, AR/AP, and inventory.
  • Experience with data import/export, ETL, or CSV-based migration.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot system and integration issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the fuel delivery, logistics, or service industries is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online API or integration tools.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, CSV mapping, or SQL basics.
  • Ability to train and support clients using accounting systems.

Compensation

Competitive hourly or salary based on experience.

Full-time or flexible contract options available.
