Assistant Vice President

Position Summary:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Operations will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and Third Party Administration (TPA) divisions. This senior leadership role requires a strategic and operational leader who can drive efficiency, ensure compliance, enhance client satisfaction, and support business growth initiatives. The AVP will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners to deliver high-quality administration services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage operational functions related to PBM and TPA services, ensuring seamless integration and performance excellence.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and client outcomes.
- Oversee claims processing, client onboarding, contract management, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality controls.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, legal, and customer service teams to support operational needs and business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational metrics, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational workflows and service delivery.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of operations professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and external partners on operational matters, addressing escalations and resolving issues promptly.
- Support new business development efforts by providing operational insights and ensuring smooth transition for new clients.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in third party administration, pharmacy benefit management, or related healthcare operations.
- Proven leadership experience managing complex operations and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of PBM and TPA industry practices, regulatory environment, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in operational software systems and data analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
