The Senior Vice President, Client Partnerships & Strategy, will shape how Saxum defines, delivers, and sustains value for our partners. This leader will mentor and elevate a team of talented strategists, ensure delivery excellence across every engagement, and serve as a visible representative of Saxum's purpose in both the community and the marketplace. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role partners with the Managing Partner, Strategy, to align our client relationships and strategic offerings toward measurable, lasting impact.About the Role

The SVP, Client Partnerships & Strategy, is accountable for the health, growth, and impact of all client relationships across Saxum. They will:

  • Lead the Client Strategy team—mentoring, inspiring, and developing seven direct reports to operate as trusted advisors and outcome architects.

  • Elevate the Client Strategy function into a center of excellence for relationship management, strategic planning, and client impact.

  • Champion Saxum's commitment to value-based partnerships, ensuring engagements are defined by client outcomes and measurable impact.

  • Partner with executive leadership and Domain Catalyst peers to align client vision with strategy, operations, and delivery.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to high-value clients, guiding them through complex challenges with clarity, confidence, and foresight.

  • Represent Saxum in the Oklahoma City community and across key markets as a relationship steward and business leader.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership & Advisory
  • Lead and manage select, high-value accounts, serving as executive sponsor and trusted advisor to C-suite leaders.

  • Build and sustain executive-level relationships that drive clarity, trust, and shared success.

  • Oversee Saxum's client portfolio to ensure alignment between strategy, delivery, and measurable outcomes.

  • Lead key client engagements as senior advisor—helping partners anticipate opportunity, navigate complexity, and achieve meaningful results.

  • Partner with the CEO and Managing Partner, Strategy to ensure solutions and offerings are aligned with client needs, value, and performance.

Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Lead and unify the Client Strategy team—fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and partnership.

  • Coach and mentor VPs and Directors to strengthen advisory skills, executive presence, and value-based thinking.

  • Create systems for consistent performance management, professional growth, and knowledge sharing.

Partnership & Integration
  • Collaborate with Domain Catalysts (Creative, Networked Media, Strategic Communications, Emerging Technology) to ensure seamless execution from vision through delivery.

  • Partner with Operations to ensure resourcing, profitability, and performance standards are aligned to client expectations.

  • Translate client and market insights into actionable strategies that strengthen Saxum's competitive positioning and offering innovation.

Value-Based Growth & Performance
  • Champion Saxum's value-based pricing philosophy, ensuring engagements are structured around defined outcomes and mutual accountability.

  • Identify opportunities to expand strategic partnerships through proactive growth planning and client renewal strategies.

  • Support business development efforts through strategic participation in proposals, pitches, and client transitions.

  • Lead quarterly business reviews and retrospectives to measure progress, capture lessons, and refine performance.

  • Ensure client work consistently demonstrates impact, clarity, and measurable value.

Visibility & Community Engagement
  • Serve as a public ambassador for Saxum—building relationships across civic, business, and industry circles.

  • Represent Saxum at key events, panels, and community initiatives to advance awareness of our purpose and impact.

  • Advance Saxum's reputation as a trusted partner by contributing thought leadership and civic engagement that reinforces our purpose and differentiates our expertise.

Experience & Mindset
  • 12+ years in strategic marketing, communications, or consulting, with deep client leadership experience.

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams across complex portfolios.

  • Strong executive presence and comfort advising C-suite leaders.

  • Fluency in integrated strategy—brand, communications, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI, analytics, automation) as tools for insight and impact.

  • Demonstrated success in client retention, relationship growth, and value delivery.

  • A leadership mindset grounded in integrity, empathy, and the pursuit of meaningful impact.

Location & Commitment

This position is based in Oklahoma City and requires full in-office presence. As a senior leader, your visibility, mentorship, and collaboration are vital to Saxum's culture and success.
