Position Overview:

The Construction Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in our finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliations, and payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and a meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process invoices from vendors and subcontractors accurately and timely.

  2. Match invoices with purchase orders and ensure proper coding.

  3. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.

  4. Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.

  5. Maintain vendor relationships and address inquiries in a professional manner.

  6. Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.

  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry.

  3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.

  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
