Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen while delivering high-quality food service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a commitment to safety and cleanliness, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all meals are prepared according to established recipes and standards.
  • Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed.
  • Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.
  • Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality service and presentation of food items.
  • Provide excellent customer service by serving meals with attention to detail and care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, including roles such as dietary aide or culinary experience.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Strong cooking skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques.
  • Experience in menu planning and catering is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
