Job Description:

Silk is a new Japanese–Italian fusion restaurant opening soon in Miami Beach. We're looking for reliable, skilled, and passionate individuals to join our opening team and help deliver an exceptional dining experience. The Prep Cook will assist the kitchen team in daily food preparation, ensuring ingredients and stations are ready for service. This role is key to maintaining efficiency, quality, and consistency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and Chef's instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations and storage areas.
  • Properly label, store, and rotate food items to ensure freshness.
  • Assist with basic cooking and food assembly during service.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Support kitchen operations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
