Overview

As the third largest insurance manager in the world, Artex, is a global leader in Alternative Risk and Captive Insurance space. Retail insurance brokers across the globe, partner with Artex to uncover new possibilities for their commercial clients to help them find smarter, more efficient ways to manage their total cost of risk. Our Business Development Executives are high visibility positions, who enjoy unlimited earnings opportunity, rich support and multiple resources, all backed by Gallagher , $12B in annual revenue), built on a 98 year old foundation of trust and ethics.

How you'll make an impact

The Business Development Executive will develop and acquire new business revenue from new and existing clients and assigned prospects in identified sectors or market area. They will develop and maintain a distribution network of broker partners:

  • Provide expertise in alternative risk products to broker partners and mid-market clients.
  • Identify client needs and develops custom solutions

    Client-facing with a track record of working effectively with decision-makers within clients.
  • Establish and develop emerging relationships with economic buyers for mid-market complexity accounts.
  • Provide technical competency to create innovative solutions.
  • Establish credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internally.
  • Possess senior executive client communication and negotiation skills (oral and written)
  • Communicate market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situations.
  • Communicate and capture the value that Artex brings to client.
  • Demonstrate new business production abilities as well as a seasoned new business production history.
  • Ability to achieve sales goal of $250,000 or greater.

About You

Required: Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 10 years related experience required. License required.

Preferred: Professional designation such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred. Excellent sales capabilities; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Behaviors: Position requires excellent communication skills.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
