Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care by effectively managing treatment plans, coordinating with medical staff, and maintaining accurate patient records. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and administrative processes within a clinical setting.

Duties

  • Coordinate patient treatment plans and ensure timely communication with healthcare providers.
  • Manage medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage options.
  • Utilize various EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Dentrix for efficient record-keeping.
  • Conduct intake assessments and review care plans to ensure they meet patient needs.
  • Provide exceptional patient service through effective communication and phone etiquette.
  • Assist with medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for patient records and administrative documents.
  • Support front desk operations including scheduling appointments and managing multi-line phone systems.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the office.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and billing practices.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
