Purpose of JobManages Sasol's commercial risk and adds value to the bottom line through effective contracting.
Key Accountabilities- Accountable for developing and maintaining strategic and tactical procurement business processes, procedures and work instructions
- Contract templates and working with legal department to improve templates and reduce commercial risk in contracts
- Oversees strategic and tactical procurement activities and coordination of contractor services involved in procurement
- Conduct sourcing/bidding events to identify cost savings per bid policy
- Overall administration of contracts including filing, correspondence tracking (i.e. letters), PQFs, Certificates of Insurance, Safety requirements, etc.
- Support Category Managers with sourcing, negotiations, contracting, contract implementation and contract management
- Collaborate to manage and monitor workload of labor brokered Contract Specialists and Contract Administrators appointed on the team
- Assist with emergency requests from End Users and the prioritization of contract renewals notified through the Contract Management System
- Provide commercial recommendations and guidance to the overall procurement group
- Resolve commercial disputes and claims as they arise
- Development of contracting and procurement strategies for non-category/multiple category related activities (i.e. Projects and Turnarounds)
- Build and maintain collaborative and cohesive relationships with key internal business stakeholders to assist with efficiencies and positive end results as related to procurement
- High School / School Diploma or similar with 7+ years relevant working experience OR
- University Bachelors Degree in business or related field with 3+ years relevant working experience
- Strategy and negotiation skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Good indirect leadership and/or supervisory skills - influencing and leading teams who are not direct reports
- Knowledge of internal controls, and experience in implementing, enhancing and maintaining a strong internal control environment
- Good Software Skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams, and related applications
- Proficient working knowledge of computerized information systems including SAP, Livelink, Coupa and 319 Vendor Onboarding Databases
- Ability to cooperatively work with team, customers and external stakeholders in a courteous and efficient manner
- Good interpersonal skills along with a customer service focus
- Effective communication and team building skills to be able to work well within a team
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Expertise in sourcing, contracting, and the Procure to Pay process
- Ability to interpret, redline and draft contract language
- Knowledge of business standards, policies and procedures preferred
- Ability to effectively collaborate across the regional and global organizations
